Conscious parenting book interview quote about body mind and soul

Nuit the Author of  Book talks about Conscious Parenting and Kids Happiness. A single mother of two adopted kids from Ethiopia, a Manager, a Yogi, and a Poet re-calls difficulties of her Conscious Parenting Journey and how she learned to respect an amazing matrix of choices within the Art of Parenting.

Q. You say that the parenting is the most difficult job in the world. You worked as a Management Consultant, a Trainer, a Yogi, you organised a dozen of Spiritual Festivals and yet you've chosen Parenting as the most difficult. How come?

A. The art of is extremely complicated

Conscious and subconscious learnings within the parenting world are immense. There are so many variables that influence our kids growth and no matter how  much we prepare, how hard we try, no matter how many baby-sitting nights we spent with our sister's kids, our children constantly surprise us. Unlike with any other job, with parenting, we have no time for costly experiments, and our little ones are too precious for mistakes. We are guided by various teachers, society guesses, pushed into the arms of new technology, shaken by norms that are ancient, fighting the subconscious patterns of huge strength walking towards conscious behaviour, conscious living, conscious parenting. With the generation gap this task becomes even more difficult.

Q. You have adopted two kids from Ethiopia, as a single mother from Serbia, living in Malta, with no family to support your parenting journey. How difficult is that?

A. It is a difficult but most rewarding journey. When we became a family, with countless sleepless nights, and no time for myself, my way of thinking and speaking changed. When I said to a single friend of mine: 'I wished them to grow older so that I can leave them on their own', she heard 'I would leave my kids in our flat alone', something no mum dreams of doing until many many years later, and I meant: 'I wish them to grow a little bit older so I can go into the toilet on my-own leaving them to play while I shit in peace.' That moment of toilet serenity did not happen for many many years to come. Within this scenario we grew to be very close and connected. We removed all the gadgets between us, we slept together, carrying my baby boy at all times I could listen to his heart-beat. We never used push-chairs, eating chairs, walking chairs, we kept our lives simple and used nature to provide us with toys.

My kids are my biggest Conscious Parenting Teachers. Every day when I ask my little ones to recall their day, I also turn through my life-spiral to assimilate the learnings I get from their innate wisdom. To allow this to happen we take care of each other, take care of our diets, exercises, we scream, we laugh and grow together. Trusting the efficiency of our souls' intent we walk through this life journey together. An intricate matrix of choices put our souls together, and we together, consciously, try to respect the life force that manifest itself in such an amazing way.

Q. Do parents have time for Self-development?

It is a million dollars question: how do we still work on self-development increasing Love, Understanding, Wisdom even though the art of parenting is so complicated? How do we become more loving parents? I keep on saying to my children: I wish to be a kind, understanding and loving parent! Please help me do it!

Q. What is the biggest problem of Parenting today?

A. It is easy for parents to lose themselves in Parenting Responsibilities, Rules and Roles. It is easy to lose the connection with Love

As a reminder, I will use a quote from the Conscious Parenting Book: 'A harsh or sceptical parent can easily subdue the life force of the child. An energy of a warm, gentle, loving parent will be absorbed unconsciously into the new forming mind that will so gain and maintain a deep devotion to Life.' Nuit

Q. Tell us something about this concept of Conscious Parenting, Mindful Being and Simplicity Parenting

In todays fast-life environment, it is easy to let all sort of forces rule our lives: TV, computer, games, tablets, mobiles, baby-sitters, teachers, various experts, magazines, negative thoughts, noise, confusion, sugar and sault addictions.  Our children need our Love, support and sanity within this amazing matrix of choices we live in. They need us to guide them towards healthy foods, habits, inspiring activities, life enriching friends, etc. This is the foundation of Simplicity Parenting, Yogi Parenting, Mindful Being and Conscious Parenting movement.

Q: Your book Conscious Parenting is full of , questionnaires, tips. How did you decide to create such a wide mix of tools?

A: The idea was to create a practical and inspirational guide to mindful living, a type of the  course for parents that wish to improve their parenting skills. My experience in Management Consultancy and Yoga helped in creating the Alchemy of love mindfulness training, and with my new parenting role, it was natural to turn towards the subject of: Conscious Parenting. We re-created the Soul's Diary, Spiritual Parenting Diary, Developing Parenting Virtues, Meditations, and introduced various exercises to follow Rhythm, Day-to-day Routine, Happy Family Structure, Cultivating Creativity and supporting Beauty within Life.

Main Children Development Tips

Children need Conscious Parenting: Rhythm, Routine and Structure, they need Daily Plan of Activity, Weekly Plan, Monthly Plan, Yearly Plan, and even though this might sounds boring, the Routine is the one to give them stability and security. Learning how to define True Goals and Dreams and Priorities we avoid missing on REALLY important activities and mile-stones of our life.

‘A child has a deep longing to discover that the World is based on Truth. Respect that longing.  In our attempt to help children grow into Inspired Adults, we wish them to carry the Youthfulness of their Souls, and the Wonders of Childhood into their old age.'
