Free Online Tasty Vegan Raw Recipes
Hummus is a Middle Eastern and Arabic food dip, most often found within Lebanese kitchen. It is a delicious spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt. Raw version of this dish uses zucchini and nuts giving this dish a wonderful nutty taste.
Ingrediens for Raw Vegan Hummus
2 handfuls of cashews
- 2 handfuls of almonds
- 1 medium sized zucchini
- 1 table spoon tahini
- 1/2 a squeezed lemon
- 5 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tea spoon ground cumin
- salt to taste
Instruction Raw Vegan Hummus
Soak the nuts. Soak the almonds overnight, but soak the cashews for around 2 hours. If left longer in the water the cashews might disintegrate. Chop the nuts into pieces once soaked
Peal zucchini. Peal and clean zucchini, cut it in small slices.
Blend the ingredients. Blend all the ingredients together until the sauce is creamy. For the best effect check the consistency and add a bit of water if necessary.
Serve with chopped parsley as a dip. Decorate the sauce with parsley leafs, olive oil and some nuts. Serve with fresh veggies.
Raw Vegan Hummus Preparation Tips:
- Put the olive oil at the very end into the blender, this way you will be able to control the consistency and thickness of the dish.
- If you like spicier food, add a tea spoon of hot paprika to the dip
