How to meditate Properly

Meditation and Christianity

is more-or-less defined as a mental exercise of concentration and contemplation, by either focusing on a single thought (e.g. meditation repeating a mantra), or by following an intuitive imaginative flow that involves relaxing the body, and calming the river of thoughts, with an aim to enter deeper levels of .

St. Teresa of Avila 1515-1582 Christian mystic about meditation

For Mystical Christians meditation is a type of contemplative practice often known as , induced by inspirational readings, and practiced with a form of visualization.

In both Eastern traditions and the Christian tradition the goal of contemplative practices is a closer intimacy with God, Christ, Buddha, Shiva consciousness, or a Guru.

The Mystical Christians would completely agree with the Yoga gurus of our present and past about the benefits of meditation.

St. Teresa of Avila and Meditation

St. Teresa of Avila a Christian Saint living during the 16th Century wrote about 4 stages towards God and her inspiring words of contemplation very much resemble the description of a Yogi that talks about meditation. She names the four stages to God as:

1. Contemplation and concentration

2. Prayer of quiet or SILENCE

3.  Devotion of UNION or "ecstatic state of blissful peace"

4. Devotion of ECSTASY, where "the body Consciousness disappears".

Symbolism of Gold

Symbolism of Gold Steiner quote about golden rule of occult science

"The golden rule of true occult science: For every one step that you take in the pursuit of higher knowledge, take three steps in the perfection of your own character."

Rudolf Steiner, Knowledge of the Higher Worlds

We constantly seek to materiallymentally and emotionally 'better' our-selves, our-family dynamics, and our society and within this journey we learn about the interconnections of all things, about short-lived happiness and long-term fulfillment, about the ways to treat our Mother Gaia and all the ones that share our little and wonderful planet with us: animals, plants, stones. We constantly learn how to live in harmony with ourselves and the world around us.

An Alchemist would tell you that all the beings contain in their inmost centre a precious grain of the elementary gold.  The nature of man reflects the entire universe in miniature.

Art of 4 elements spiritual poem by Natasa Pantovic Nuit about Spiritual Evolution

The poetry, written by Nuit, acted as an inspiration for the work of other artists. The  represents the element of Earth, that is the Mother of all we know and experience, that within its womb carries Spirit going forth into the magic of manifestation. Jason's paintings represent the element of Air, that has no shape and is incapable of a fixed form. It is a symbol of thoughts. Christine's element is Fire that is boundless and invisible, and is a parching heat that consumes all. Within its highest manifestation Fire becomes Divine Love. Jeni's element is Water that carries within: a Rhythm of Creation, and a strength of Tantric flow. Water symbolizes the world of emotions.
